Rising talent Anycia is a rapper from Atlanta who has been making waves in the music industry since 2022. Initially, she started releasing music on Soundcloud for her own satisfaction. However, after being burnt out from working at a daycare and having a second job working at a club, Anycia realized she was often too fatigued to spend any energy on cultivating her dreams. Thus, she decided to quit both her day jobs to pursue a career making music.
Anycia: The Rising Star Who’s Already Received Co-Signs from Kevin Durant and Drake
Many fans that she has gained up until now have fallen head over heels in love with her sound. In particular, Anycia has a husky tone that coats any production she comes across in an interesting way. Although she has only released a few tracks, the Atlanta rapper has turned heads with her signature sound. In fact, a couple of notable co-signs that she has received are from Kevin Durant and Drake.
Anycia aligned with Latto for their new single “Back Outside”. The trap-beat is ideal for the deep-toned verses delivered by Anycia. With much surprise, it took a village to whip up the production by Austinpyo, 1st Class, jetsonmade, Keysanee, Bakkwoods, liltyh & Go Grizzly.
Later, Latto pulls in with a strong cadence sprinkled with saucy wordplay. Both emcees share chemistry on the horned fueled beat and represent the south with pride. Which is what is seen on screen in the music video directed by Diamond Visuals. This imagery is a tribute to the down south music video classics from the early 2000’s that felt like trap anthems.
All in all, it’s good to see not only Anycia adding to her catalog but also building camaraderie with a rising star like Latto. In 2023, the ladies in hip hop were a big topic of discussion due to their rap takeover.
